This is where I set the stage to excessively brag about myself. While I contend that there may be nothing really noteworthy, there are indeed some things in my life that I am incredibly proud of, and therefore worth mentioning on a personal level. I'm Asian (Chinese by ethnicity)... grew up in Singapore in a family of 4. In 2002, I moved to State College, PA to pursue my doctoral degree in the College of Info Sciences and Tech at Penn State University. And I have since completed the journey in Jun 2007. As my full time occupation, I conduct research and write research articles/reports. Want to know more? Much of which is focused on the knowledge economy high-tech, and life science industries. I love music. In my spare time, I play drums - extreme metal and pop-rock. I also play the acoustic guitar and a little of the piano. For the past 15 years, I learnt to read/write music, articulate music theory, and of cos, play various musical instruments. Incidentally, I live in Los Angeles, playing extreme metal: with Phlebotomy (now defunct) and Lightning Swords of Death (as Thrudvang, till 2008). And since I'm an Asian musician living in LA LA land, I play drums in a chinese rock band tentatively called Tea West Wolf . I pen and perform my own songs too under the name 柚子. Well, the bragging doesn't end here. I'm also an actor on national TV. Catch season 8 of "Girlfriends" on the CW network. That was my US debut, and hopefully it'll make way for many more to come... Also, I do freelance editing, especially for non-English speakers, who wish to have their work proof-read, edited or translated. My other interests include futbol, movies, video games, shopping, and of cos, eating, totally passionate about it. Traveling is also on the list, hmm... exotic! :-) What can I say?
